It means putting down our phones turning off our distractions then given the speaker out undivided attention. It also means practicing empathy putting ourselves in the shoes of the speaker in trying to see the world from their perspective. It means listening not just without ears but with our hearts and responding with kindness and compassion and finally it means being open to feedback welcome and constructive criticism and using it as an opportunity for growth and self-improvement because the truth is none of us are perfect listeners, but with practice and dedication we can all become better at So let's make a commitment today a commitment to listen more to speak less and to truly here understand one another because of the world feel the noise.
