Hi, I'm Tibo, the founder of TapForChange.org. We are building the ultimate donation experience for the modern generations. A rewarding journey for good that brings support and transparency to the impact work of charities and businesses with purpose. Of course, this comes with challenges, a lot of them. From the cold start problem to legal and fundraising challenges or simply while being pre-revenue. And sometimes it gets overwhelming. The ups and downs, the amount of work for no direct reward, the doubts, the loneliness, the list goes on. We see our mates working and making money, buying things and we wonder, am I losing my time? As founders, we can get so focused that we cannot see the big picture anymore. And so it's important that sometimes we raise our head and look around. We're climbing this very high, tough mountain, willing to ensure that we enjoy the view. For that, I take a step back. I remind myself of why I started this. I begin with the vision and the value I intend to deliver to my audience. And I usually realize that not only am I closer to making it happen than I was three months before, but other people now believe in it and are counting on me to make it happen. I just need to keep taking it step by step and follow the roadmap. I then remind myself of my deeper inspiration, my identity as an entrepreneur that pushed me several times to forego the stability and salary of a corporate job. It's about what I expect from life, from work, from others. Looking back, I realize that I have learned a lot and I've been enjoying the journey. As founders, there's no such thing as losing our time. We invest in ourselves. We believe in ourselves. We don't just think of ideas. We act. We don't give up. We adapt. We learn. Quick. And we give it all to make it happen. Against all odds. For me, that beats any 9 to 5. I definitely made the right decision.
