Turbocharge your business by creating a kick-ass personal brand. Hey there, I am Bobby Baskaran and today we are diving into the exciting world of personal branding. I have been a senior marketing leader in a wide range of companies from startups to multi-billion dollar global companies. I have even been a guest university lecturer in marketing, which ties into my love for mentorship and one of the reasons I am sharing these stories here with you. So having a personal brand for myself that stands out has allowed me to gain verified social platforms, amass over 500K social media followers, achieve more than 15 million video views and be featured in Rolling Stone magazine twice. So if you are looking for actionable intelligence on how to use marketing and branding to close in your business outreach and lead generation, stick around and also follow me for some more marketing insights. So let's touch on the first part. The first part I want to talk about is the importance of personal branding. Let's dive in. So why is personal branding so crucial? People might say, oh look, I don't really want to be the face of my business so I don't think personal branding is that important. It's all about my business presenting its value to its target market and just functioning that way. But let me tell you why I think personal branding is crucial. First off, it positions you as the go-to expert in your field. Imagine being the person that everyone turns to for advice. That sounds cool, right? Second, it builds trust and credibility. People do business with whom they trust and this strong personal brand makes you super trustworthy. And when you're seen as credible, people are more likely to engage with your content, buy your products or hire your services. And lastly, it kind of sets you apart from the competition. So in a world like especially today where everyone's trying to shout louder on every possible platform, a solid brand makes you the person that everyone listens to. So your personal brand is like your unique fingerprint in the professional world, making you memorable and distinctive. And also it means you're not competing that much on price. You're not dependent on just having the cheapest thing out there right now to compete. You're competing on value and you being the expert. So that was part one on the importance of a strong personal brand. In part two, I'll be talking about the three steps to use to build your brand, how to define what makes you unique and how to be consistent. I'm Bobby Baskarin. See you in the next video.
